4/8/2018 0 Comments New PlaylistHey! How have ya’ll been? I’ve been doing pretty good. Pretty busy. I was in the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade (comment down below if you watched the show) and I was in the Tarrytown parade which was cold but fun. Three birthday's came and went, I went to Rochester to visit the University of Rochester and I fell in love and now I’m finishing up my Easter Break. So now that I have some extra time on my hands and a 6 hour bus ride I created a new playlist and thought I’d share it with you, especially since I had so much fun making the last one. I hope you guys enjoy.
The entire Spotify playlist will be linked below. 1. Maniac- Michael Sembello Because you already know I had to have an oldie on here. Last time I ended with one, today I thought let's start out with one. It's from Flashdance if you don't already know. Not one of my favorite movies if I'm being honest but this was definitely my favorite scene. Albeit the longest scene too but great motivation for working out if you're into that (I'm not. Haha.) Enjoy! 2. Clearly- Grace VanderWaal I am currently writing this as I listen to the song and I just love it so much. My favorite lines are the chorus and when you listen I think you'll know why. I really do like Grace. She's young with a powerful voice and she just gives me chills every single time she sings. From the sound of things, she too has taken a different turn in terms of style of music and once again, I'm not mad at it. I think 2018 is the year that artists are really making changes in their music styles and I'm loving it. Can't wait for the new album, Grace. (Btw, I wrote some of these songs before others so if my wording feels like I'm referring to something else, you probably haven't gotten to it yet. It's fine.) 3. Ask For It- Future Animals I was in H&M when heard this song and let me tell you, right after the first line I was pushing and shoving my way through the rows, my hands full of jewelry, my bag bumped into a shelf but I had to stand there under that speaker and figure out the name to that song. I don't know what I would do without Shazam, let me tell you. I later looked them up on YouTube and I think this is their first song and I looove this song. Its so good! It's raw and powerful and possibly inappropriate but who the hell cares. I'm looking forward to hearing something else from them soon. 4. Who Will Save Us Now- David Chappell This playlist is kind of all over the place with no clear theme but it's cool. I kind of just threw a whole bunch of my favorite songs on here, both old and new but we're having fun. Sticking to the theme of no theme I just had to add this piece. I don't really remember how I stumbled upon it but I was going through my instrumental lists and I haven't been able to stop listening to this song. I don't even know how to explain it. It's not epic music but it's not a whole bunch of violins and piano either so I guess you'll just have to listen to it for yourself and figure it out. When you do, comment down below. 5. In My Blood- Shawn Mendez It actually took me a few listens to really get into this song which was a surprise for me since I love Shawn Mendez but don't worry, I still love this song. I'm getting cool James Bay vibes from him (and for those of you who don't who that is, first of all, shame on you, second, I shall leave a link to one of my favorite songs by him down below for your listening pleasure). I heard he's taking a few new different directions with his new album and I, along with many of his fans, I'm sure, are looking forward to hearing them. 6. New Rules x Are You That Somebody- Pentatonix Mixing up the old with the new, Pentatonix just has away of making you fall in love over and over again. Their new guy sounds amazing! I don't know his name yet (I haven't looked it up) but if you don't follow up with them, they recently they got a new bass singer after their old one left to be closer to his family. And he's really good! I've been trying to find a way to add this song to one of my playlists for awhile now so I'm glad I can add it now. Trust me, this is a song you NEED to listen to. 7. RGF Island- Fetty Wap This is my favorite song by Fetty. I don’t really know the words but I’ve listened to it at least a hundred times since it’s come out. I don’t know, I just really like the music. Does that ever happen to you? You’ve listened to a song so many times and still don’t know the words? LOL. Or maybe that’s just me. Anyways, it’s explicit so there’s you’re only warning. 8. Never Coming Down- Willamette Stone I'm still pretty sure Willamette Stone is only a fictional band from If I Stay but I don't know why they just look and sound like a real band. Are they? I'm not sure. I haven't researched them that much but this is my favorite song from them. This is by far the best party and dance song, and LOL it literally just came on. Talk about a coincidence. It has been summoned. Haha. 9. Leave a Light On- Tom Walker Every time this song comes on I always think the beginning is so deceiving! At first it doesn't sound like something I'd listen to but then it gets to the middle and it gets soo good so bare with me when it comes to this song. The good part comes up next. But I really do like this song, although I only recently listened to a few of the words and I don't think its a happy song. Haha. I need to start listening to the lyrics more. 10. Medusa- Kailee Morgue I heard this song in H&M where I also heard Ask For It and I just think it sounds so majestical. I was worried because as I took time to pull out my phone to Shazam it I knew the song was coming to an end and I watched as the thing started to turn slowly as it loaded but I got the song just in time and laughed to myself as a lady watched me from the clothes rack behind. She probably thought I was crazy but she clearly doesn't know the struggle. Anyways, I've listened to one other song by Kailee and I think I'll be listening to more of her music. 11. Sky Walker- Miguel and Travis Scott Okay, if you guys don't already know, I never listen to the radio. The only time I hear the radio is when it's late and I'm sleeping in the car. My mom plays it while she's driving and when I wake up that's the only time I listen to the radio. I don't really like radio music, if that makes any sense but I heard this song and I recognized it and then I played it again and I just haven't stopped falling in love with this song. I think I might start tuning into the radio more often now. LOL. 12. Borders- Kabaka Pyramid and Stoneboy I also heard this song on the radio with my mom. It was reggae hour (LOL) and this was probably the first song that came on and aside from the music I was just really drawn to the message. When my mom saw that I had added this to the playlist she was so happy. Check this song out, it's really good. 13. Sea Castle- Purity Ring I don't know how to explain this other than freaking awesome. I picture you dancing in a club to this song surrounded by smoke and colorful lights. It's electronic, I guess is what you would call it but not really. She-whoever she is-has one of those angelic voices and it's just really good. You can already feel the build from the beginning of the song and its just-ugh!-I love it. 14. Him & I- G-Easy and Halsey I like G-Easy and Gasoline is my favorite song by Halsey even though she's not really my style of music. She has an amazing voice though. But I really love this song. Not to mention they're a really cute couple in real life (not that I've met either of them. LOL.) This came on my Spotify radio and I thought I had added this and forgot about it so it was like this song was already a part of the family and I quickly added it right after. 15. Forever- Haim I always say that Haim is way underrated. I love these three sisters so much and this song is just one of my many favorites. I actually sat there going through my top seven trying to figure out which one I should throw on the playlist but I ended up on this one. Now after you listen to it, you can't tell me they don't have Fleetwood Mac vibes. They're so cool! I love this song. Just picture yourself wearing a leather jacket and bellbottoms with a red guitar. It's awesome. This playlist is kind of all over the place by I’m loving it. If you guys have any songs you think I’d like, comment down below. I love finding new music and comment down below if you like these playlists I’m putting out. I’m really enjoying making them so maybe this will be a new thing. I took a lot of time going over this playlist though, playing it as I wrote, trying to figure out if certain songs fit and I think I did pretty good. I added Halsey and Borders at the last minute so I'm glad they sort of fit with whatever I was going for with this playlist. I don't even know what I was going for but this was fun. Thanks again for reading. Until Next Time!
